Located near Pleasantville, this deck girder bridge crosses Lisbon Street (County Road G48)
Little is known about the history of the bridge. It consists of a single deck girder span, set onto timber piers, and approached by trestle spans.
Several other deck girder spans of similar designs along this line were replaced around 2015. It appears most of these were open deck structures, and set onto timber piers. Because of this, the future of this span is unknown.
With absolutely no identifying markers, it is difficult to determine history of this span. It appears that it might have been moved here from elsewhere. The bridge consists of an unusual skew as well. Features on the deck girder seem to imply a build date of Ca. 1905, prior to this line being constructed.
This type of bridge was common for both crossing small creeks and roadways, due to the simple nature of the design.
Overall, the bridge appears to be in fair to poor condition, with a significant bracing knocked loose inside the steel span.
The author has rated this bridge as being locally significant, due to the common design.
